Dns Clustering does it really work?

Hi All,

I have been working with DNS sometime now and I have two servers I have root on both and is it worth doing the following?

examples:

dns1.hosting.net ip ex: 192.168.1.1
dns2.hosting.net ip ex: 192.237.125.1

I have setup dns clustering successfully for both server and notice they both carry each other's named.db files.

I have set the registrar to point to both with the separate ip's.

Now my questions:

dnsreport.com sees one of the dns.hosting.net as a lame server, and the reason being named.conf files on both servers are still independent not loading the sycronized named.db's which produces this result.

If I just setup up master/slave will that basically have one named.conf so both servers are working correctly? I keep getting myself confused.

Best,

Jack
