VPN blocked by University Firewall?
A university's firewall (Cisco) is blocking a client's VPN access to his server. What can we do to circumvent this? He is trying to use PPTP as of the moment, however perhaps moving to L2TP would make a difference?
We can use any type of VPN server on the server end, whether Windows or Linux is no problem. We are currently using Windows '2003 Std. and it is not going through. The connection attempt from his end stalls at "verifying user name and password", although from his home connection it works flawlessly.
Does anyone have any input on this?
