wildcard DNS how to

Greetings to all.

I want to offer my site members a domain.

So every member will have their own link like this:

username.domain.com

So every time a new member sign in, I will need a new subdomain created.

I understand this can be done with wildcard DNS

But I have no idea how

Can anyone help me with this?
