Grub Installation/Configuration Help Needed
I have recently had some issues with a grub installation. The installation is on a SCSI drive running Gentoo.Upon installing in the MBR and placing all the Grub files in /boot (seperate partition). I reboot the server and I get a grub command prompt rather than automatically picking up grub.conf/menu.lst. To solve this problem i can easily type in: configfile /grub/grub.conf, and it will load the boot menu, and boot into the correct kernel without a problem. But I need this to automatically happen each time to ensure when the server is rebooted remotely it will freeze at the grub menu
I have tried everything to try and get grub to automatically pickup the config file, but it just won't do it. I have resinstalled grub several times, using different methods, moved the config files around, and no luck.
Anybody have any suggestions?
