Kernel compilation in DL380 G4
I just purchased a HP DL380 G4 server and I installed it in our rack. I asked from one support company I found in WHT to compile latest 2.4.29 kernel w/ grsecurity and their reply was:
"Due to exotic hardware on your server I am unable to complete kernel compilation as many drivers for your hardware don't come with linux kernel source."
To all of you who have and operate DL380, how do you compile new kernels without the drivers source? Can you tell me where this company can find the drivers source to compile the new kernel?
