/usr mount curiously full ?

i have a server a few months old with one website on it and the /usr mount is suddenly full.

/dev/ad0s1g 29748956 29683644 -2314604 108% /usr

the only data i have added is on /var which is far from full
/dev/ad0s1f 9908316 1150968 7964684 13% /var

what commands would allow me to find out what is taking up so much space? or is it more likely that it is miscalculating the space used. i have webmin run command access and webmin file explorer access but ssh does not work (i got a drive full warning, and then it stopped connecting me entirely via ssh)

also, in attempting to figure the problem out i managed to overwrite /usr/bin/ld, what problems is that going to cause me and how do i fix that?
