DigiChat server is hanging !!

I have a server @ SM with the following specs:
- Dual 2.4GHz Xeons
- 80 GB Drive
- 2048 MB Ram
- 1000 GB Bandwidth
- Windows 2003 Server

DigiChat & J2EE are installed on the server properly. The server is only used for digichat hosting and every thing is OK but after the number of users of the digichat reach to about 250-300 users, the digichat server is hanging !! and it's not responding until I restart the digichat server manually

what's the cause of this problem and how can it be solved
