Who to use for setup/security?
I'm looking into some costing/planning for new servers. One aspect which I feel is important if I choose unmanaged boxes (which are an option) is the setup and security. I'm no expert, though I'm trying to learn.
Who would you chose and why? These are my options so far - comparing them is very difficult since they offer different services:
- Rack911 - Steve's done some great work for me in the past, but his options, in relation to mail services (spam and virus filtering) are a little bit limited. Also, I am unsure whether the ongoing maintenance is sufficient?
- ConfigServer - Jonathan/Chirpy has again helped in the past, but I have not felt able to ask dumb questions like I can with Steve. That said, an excellent job done with a decent range of options.
- [RFX - An unknown quantity to me, but an automatic update option sounds interesting and software which has become de facto like APF is developed/maintained by them.
- Acunett is again unknown to me, but seem affordable and have been quick to answer my pre-sales questions.
Anyone else highly recommended?
