question about linksys router
i have port forwarding set for port 80 and everything is running fine except i'm having issues with my network ip
in the port forwarding control panel for the linksys router, i have to specify which network ip will be using that port forwarding setting, for example, 192.168.1.100
my problem is the network ip of my server changes. sometimes, it'll change from 192.168.1.100 to 192.168.1.101 and i'll have to go into the router and change the port forwarding setting.
its very annoying because i have to be on a computer on my network to update the settings so when i'm away from the server for extended periods of time, i can't do anything if the network ip changes on me.
is there a way to make the network ip static??
