Exim Troubles

Firstly, cPanel is reporting the Exim service as failed when it is infact working. Not sure whats causing this, but I think it's the problem detailed below.

Now, whenever I use a script such as Kayako eSupport to send an email from my server, I get the message bounced back to me saying something like:

me@gmail.com
unrouteable mail domain "gmail.com"
I try sending a message to my gmail account through Thunderbird, and it works fine, so why not for the script?

I then turn on SMTP in eSupport, try sending an email through it and get the following error:

Warning: fsockopen(): unable to connect to mail.primehosting.co.uk:25 in /home/prime/public_html/support/admin/smtp.php on line 78
This is only a problem from the past few days, not sure what is causing it.

I've tried running /scripts/exim4 and /scripts/updatenow --force, but they have not solved it.

Any suggestions welcome.
