Specific hour, server dies
I have a dedicated server P4 2.8GHZ with 1gb ram (redhat enteprise). I'm experiencing a problem every day in a specific hour. To be more specific every day at 00:00 and for 15-20 minutes the sql processes starts to increase and eventually reaches the limit I have which is 150. I'm watched carefully the server for couple of weeks using the command
ps -aux | grep -c httpd
and usually the number I get is from 50 to 80. When the problem appears it's increasing fastly to 150 where is the server limit. I had disable backup and other things but since I don't have much experience, I don't know what's running this time so I can deal with it.
The server has WHM installed and from scripts I have vbulletin, phpads and virtuanews.
I would be grateful if you can give me instructions what to do. I could provide any information needed in order to solve the problem
