I think mod_dosevasive blocks many search engine attempts and thus prevents listing in search engines. I havn't confirmed it yet and I want to know if anyone is aware if it blocks or not. Because the search engines sends a lot of requests at a time, on a server hosting a lot of sites and mod_dosevasive might think it's an attack. When you have google adsense banners on all the forums, google's bot keeps accessing the forums and Mod_dosevasive might block googlebot.
This isn't a fact, it's just something that popped in my mind and I havn't done any research on it as of yet. I would be grateful if someone could shed some light on mod_dosevasive and a lot of requests from google per second.
