Ok this is driving me nuts. I've been trying to tune mysql but I can't get it to use the conf file I'm editing! I've moved my-huge.cnf into /etc/ and renamed it to my.cnf. I've even rebooted my server but everytime I check the variables that the server is using I get the old values, not the ones in my new /etc/my.cnf file!
I've looked around for other my.cnf files but the only ones are user-specific ones with passwords and such. I've tried everything and searched everywhere I can think of before coming here and asking for help, so you are my last hope! No pressure.
