/tmp full but ... not full
I am now expiriencing problems with /tmp going into the red and sometimes 100% full.
At first the were some residual file of incomplete uploads which could have been hogging space, so I implemented something to cleanup any file not used in the last X minutes and that is working fine. However the issue is still not resolved.
At the moment I have /tmp showing as 86% full but when I look at the size of the files currently in there ... it shouldn't even be at 25%
The last time things were like this I rebooted the server and after the reboot it showed 21% .. which was correct ... cleanup script ran and it went down to 4%
does anyone have any idea why this is happening?
any possible optimizations I can do?
