Install phpMyAdmin -- Win 2003

php 4.3.11
MySQL 4.1
All of this is a new install, done last night.
What I'm trying to do:
Get phpMyAdmin working.
auth_type = http
I'm trying to log in with root / ***** that I set up in the MqSQL install. So I try and log in and get this error:
"Wrong username/password. Access denied." So I'm thinking it just isn't reading the user / pass from the right place.
I'm sure it's an easy fix I just can't seem to find it.
