Can not access www.site.com but can access site.com (sans www)???
My site is http://www.vaska.com/ and I'm hosting with Jiffynet. They have been really outstanding for over three years now.
Right now, I can not access http://www.vaska.com/. I can access http://vaska.com/. I can not access a subdomain at http://modular.vaska.com/ or http://www.vaska.com/modular/ or at http://vaska.com/. It's says it can't find the server. Which makes no sense because http://vaska.com/ works...???!!!
From one hour to the next http://www.vaska.com/ does work...and then it doesn't.
This is all clearly affecting my email as well...
The A record on the server is correct. I can always ping my site and people tell me that everything is working ok. I CAN get to my site via a proxy server - but this is no help with recieving email (pop doesn't work and all the proxy servers have built-in filtering so when it reads a spam title in there I can't get to email that way either).
I'm pretty sure this is a local problem to Belgium, but these kinds of things are impossible here. What I'm trying to find is a way to check on this on my own...so I can go to the ISP and say this is the problem...that thing right there. We're with Tiscali.
My site is the only site I know of that I can't get to...sheesh...the problems started last week when I switched to a new server...
Anybody ever have an experience like this? Is there any way I can try to shoot this bug? I'm so stumped...
