How do I? ... run a dynamic/database-driven website in an HTML environment?

Hello all,

I'm currently faced with the ask of redesigning our intranet website. The problem I'm facing is that our intranet is run off of a Windows folder in a network server - so basically, someone points their browser to intranet.mycompany.com and it goes to a folder where all the HTML files are.

I'm used to running things using CMSs and am not excited about managing a website strictly using HTML. I've come across CMSs before that develop and store everything in the background, and then outputs a complete HTML website independ of the actual CMS.

Do you know of any tool that can do this? Or any CMS? I have a personal server that runs Linux so I can create the website on this server if need be, and then just copy/paste into our intranet.

Do you have any other ideas as to how I can do this given our limits?

Much thanks for your help.

Cheers,

Raine
