Modernbill 4.0.2 problem

Hey Mates,
I have been having some troubles with modernbill 4.0.2. I have been helping a friend set it up and after we installed it, we get this error on the index.php page.

Code: 
Fatal error: Unable to read 4197 bytes in /home/xena/public_html/billing/include/misc/heart/auth.inc.php on line 0
We had a ton of errors before like that, and we learned we had to reupload it, so we did and some of the files are now working, but we are still having a problem with that.

Any ideas?
