Bad file descriptor??

Hello,

One of our clients is having problems CHMOD on files. They can't do it via cPanel, FTP, or any other way. THis is the error we get when trying to CHMOD a folder (It's the same error for everyfile/folder)

550 Could not change perms on /public_html/path/to/folder: Bad file descriptor

I was able to CHMOD via SSH, but that's the only way. Do you have any ideas?

CentOS 3.4 with cPanel/WHM
