Dying here with DNS setup.

I haven't done DNS by hand in years, I'm really dying here. I have a single server, nothing fancy - the server has 6 IP's, I'm using the first two IP's for ns1.mydomain.com and ns2.mydomain.com, I current have the domain setup to point to those IP's (DNS hosting or whatever the hell it is, I don't know what it's called, but it's setup)

I have no idea where to go with named.conf and the corresponding /var/named/blah.zone files to set it up so my domain will resolve.

Currently, ns1.mydomain.com and ns2.mydomain.com do ping to my IP (although both reply with the same IP, which is odd) ... but mydomain.com doesn't return anything, obviously I need to setup named.

I am hoping someone with a pretty basic basic like me, even a cPanel server, could send me their /etc/name.conf and a few corresponding /var/named/___.zone or /var/named___.db whatever they happen to point to. I'm really in a bind here, and if I could just follow someones guide that is using a single server setup and hosting a DNS, I think I would be set.

If you'd be so kind, you can reply here or email me bretthoerner@gmail.com

Please please please.
Thanks,
Brett
