Hmm...Telephony question! :)
Hi!I've been reviewing my notes ala the Webhostplus fiasco..and something just occurred to me. I've made mention before of bring a T1 in here...and I do understand the basics...no problem.
Sprint is our local provider...everything has to come thorugh them..does not matter if I contract with AT&T, MCI or whoever...Sprint has to bring it in.
Something confuses me..ie: local loop. Local loop means whatever it is...iISDN, T1, whatever...still has to go through the Central Office Switch. Now...if I understand what was proposed correctly...there would be no local loop to the T1 from AT&T.
AT&T has a Point-of-presense 16 miles away from here...that's why they we able to give the lowest quote. I am to understand correctly that this line would, in fact, go straight from here to the AT&T POP...or...as I was to originally understand..it..too..would go to the Central Office first...then to AT&T's POP.
It just bothers me when two different people tell me two different things..and...having no experience with this...concerns me greatly.
Thanks,
Bryon
