Switching from one domain to another

I have mysite1.com which is currently receiving lots of Adwords traffic. I want to rename this site so it is now mysite2.com but use the same files.

What is the best way to do this?

My worries are concerned with waiting for propagation to take place.

If I change the Adwords urls straight away, I will be getting traffic sent to a site that doesn't exist, at least until propagation is complete. Or, if I change the Adwords urls after propagation takes place, I will be sending traffic to the old url the moment propagation hits.

Any solutions to this problem?

Also, how do I set this up in WHM since normally you have to create a completely different area for each URL?
