Differences between CentOS / Suse?

FYI, I'm trying SuSe as a desktop. I'd like to install Thunderbird but I have to do it from the command line and install vncviewer as a friend is using it now, so I'll have to do it via ssh.


Some questions:

* Does SuSe have "locate"?
* How do I use YaST to print a list? I dont want to go through a menu with "yast", I just want a list of possible matches for thunderbird. yast --list prints "modules" but it doesnt seem to be all available packages.
