What scripts are the most popular these days for virtual hosting users to periodically back up MySQL data? The total size of all my MySQL tables is about 1 GB. I haven't backed up my tables in a long time, but I remember the last time I did it, it was a long process that lasted several hours,. The worst thing was that during that time my CGI scripts that were supposed to work with MySQL tables didn't work. What software would you recommend to minimize the back-up time?
