I am a newbie and dont really understand anything more than SWAP and RAM. On a freeBSD platform using PS command gives me data such as %mem, RSS, VSZ. What all they mean. How can I get the RAM and SWAP (in KB or MB not %) memory used by a process? Is Virtual memory something different than SWAP? Please help me in understanding this.
