Moving 5 GB MySQL Database
I want to move a MySQL data base of size 5 GB. Both servers are FreeBSD 5.4
I already finished moving of a database of size 1.2G with rsync. That is just rsync all files in database folder to new server, got it working. But the problem is it take near 24 Hours to finish the database transfer. Servers are in same datacanter, still it take lot of time.
rsync, i can resume transfer if anything happen during file transfer. But read it is slow as it encrypt the file to transfer. If i do FTP transfer, i am not sure i can resume if got disconnected for any reason.
Is there any easy to to transfer the database files ?
