phpbb vulnerabilities - is it true?
I have a server with over 100 accounts on it. about 20 of those have phpbb installed on them.
I have had a major headache over the last few weeks with the server being attacked and major bandwidth useage going on.
My engineers are saying that it is due to phpbb vulnerabilities and recommending a complete ban on phpBB on my server, including removing the installed forums.
Is this:
a) sound advice which should be heeded
b) rubbish advice being used an excuse by engineers who should have fixed the issues on the server
c) good advice about phpbb being the problem, but a rather over zealous solution.
