DNS Server down in VA?
Hi all! This is a pretty dumb topic I guess, but I've seen someone else here on WHT had trouble with DNS resolution, and I think I might have pinpointed where the problem lies!
Yesterday afternoon, we requested a DNS change for our main domain name globalwebbrands.com. We've done changes like this before (in fact, the exact same changes from and to the exact same servers), and they usually only take about an hour before I can access them from home. Now here's what's happening:
I live in the Richmond, VA area. The building I'm working from is about thirty miles from my home. I can access my site from here, but not from home - in the past week, it has started taking about two or three days before I can access changed sites from home. I can usually access them from here about an hour or two after the change is made - and this used to be the case when I was at home too.
So does this mean a DNS server somewhere around Richmond is not functioning properly? (And if I haven't been too clear in my explanation, just ask me to explain it again!
