script for server specs?

Does anyone know of a perl or php script that will detail server specs on a Linux box? I'd like to find out CPU type, memory, kernel, cache, server load, etc.

This is for an shared hosting account where the user doesn't have root access. They want to find out all they can about the particular box their site is on.
