I wanted to get some info about creating an identical backup server (HP L2000 UNIX 11.00) I have 2 of these servers and wanted to know if i ftp /var /opt /dev etc from my production box to my backup box what will i have to change to get it operational. I will have data guard installed on the backup box eventually. I am more concerned as the systems admin what i will have to do. I want to use rsync as my primary tool to transfer the directories/files from one server to the other. Thanks for any help regarding this matter.
