windows firewall and ipsec filtering (move to technical)
I've heard its better to use IPSec filtering for TCP/UDP ports than to block them on the windows firewall level.
Is this correct and why?
If so are there any good detailed explanations into IPSec anywhere other than the official Microsoft ones?

Edit again. After doing some reading it appears I would only need to use IPSec if I created a VPN to another location. For filtering out ports such as FTP and HTTP It looks like the normal windows firewall would be fine. Any input appreciated.
