Want to recable Supermicro 1U IDE system

I've got a 1U Supermicro 5013G-I server, currently configured with two IDE drives as master/slave on one channel, the CDROM is on the other. It's currently in a data centre.

I need to configure this server with linux software mirroring, and so for performance reasons I need to put each hard drive on a separate channel. I would put the CDROM as a slave.

Has anyone ever recabled a Supermicro system? The 5013G-I is basically a P4SGE board in a SC810 chassis. Is there room in the case for round IDE cables? I'm presuming the current cables won't reach for what I need - I can't remember exactly, but they were pretty tightly arranged.

Oh, and Supermicro tech support can't help me - I've already tried asking them. Doesn't seem like such an unreasonable request, but hey...
