FTP Login Error using IE
I have a client who wants to use the FTP aspect of Cpanel, not the anonymous one. They created their folder in the public_html folder and want to use IE to access it. When it is used there is the popup which is a warning about the anonymous FTP access being denied. I assume CPanel checks to see whether the anonymous FTP access is on, if it is not the pop up warning is used.
You have to click the OK and then you can login using the "Login as" under the file menu in IE.
They have asked me if there is any way of eliminating the pop up, it does seem a little hokey and might confuse the non technical.
The error does not happen when you use an ftp program because you have the opportunity to enter a username and password prior to accessing the site.
