What should I do when my server is on blacklist for spamming?
I just got a new server and found out that its IP has been used for spamming not long ago - about 3 months. Although the technical support of the company that I am with had helped me set up to prevent open relay, the IP of this server is still on spamming list of many companies - customers of mine cannot communicate with their customers. Yahoo, comcast, road runner block all email comming from my server.
What should I do? I hate the fact that I have to contact those companies and ask them to remove my ip from their list - this might takes monthsssss. Could the IP be changed to something else? or should I request a new server?
