Something weird happening with the server.
I recently put up a new server and today I noticed the CPU load very very high.
About 10. Most of the scripts running were Perl script by the user nobody. I tried to terminate the scripts but they would not terminate. I then restarted the server and everything came normal with the server load.
But there is another problem, something in the server is screwed up. My main server IP wont ping nor can I login via ssh. When I login to the server via ssh with the other IP's assigned to the server, I cannot ping any host outside the network.
I checked all the config files in my knowledge, and they all seem ok. Can someone tell me what might be the case? is there anything that might be causing this problem?
