Linux Problem Logging in with pop3 server
I'm setting up a pop3 server (smtp server & pop3)
now i got a big problem with logging in on pop3...
i use the program ipop3 because dovecot keeps shutting down...
i also have webmin & usermin controlepannel but they do not have a ipop3 plugin (i think it doesn't exist)
i installed both pop3 and smtp server with the following tutorial:
(url is strainge because i'm not allowed to post a url at the moment)
grape-info (.com) /doc/linux/config/sendmail-8.11.6-3l.html
as you can see sendmail is using a diferent login then ipop3...
i think there might lay the clue, because samba is acting in the same way...
i also figured that it might have something to do with that i have screwed with the startup programs... i have no idea what program ipop3 uses to login or if i need to configure that program...
if your asking about my log... well there ain't much in there.. and nothing to see in the mail log..
if i try to login with telnet i get -Err bad login
(localy connected acts in the same way)
can anybody pleasee help me out?
(if you can, explain it in details because i only use linux for 5 days now)
