MS SQL Server - Which Version?
I've got to move a company website from a shared server (nothing to do with me) to a dedicated box indirectly provided by me from one of the many companies posting offers on these forums.
They need a Windows server, and they also need MS SQL Server. There seem to be so many versions of the software (per-processor, standard, developer etc) .. which one do I need to buy for them? (Or at least offer them as an option)
Also, is MS SQL 'better' than MySQL and is it possible to convert from MS to MySQL? Good idea? Bad idea?
FWIW, they run a simple database of names / addresses etc., (They're a small charity).
