If your computer is hacked, can the hacker surf the net using your browser or go to online forums and post using your username. If they post malicious messages, the one who gets in trouble is you. (IP address, getting banned, reported to ISP)
Can the hacker also download illegal software, mp3s, videos in your PC and then take it from you somehow. Then the one that gets in trouble with the ISP or authories is you because the IP that shows is yours.
