Reverse DNS Impact on MX Records
After reverse DNS is setup, email on the specified account is not working.
Before the reverse DNS all settings were to ns1.mydomain.com
Then I get an email from support with the following:
C:>nslookup 209.67.220.206 ns1.layeredtech.com
Server: ns1.layeredtech.com
Address: 216.39.90.4
Name: Notesetc.net
Address: 209.67.220.206
My DNS Zone is setup as:
notesetc.net. 300 IN MX 0 notesetc.net.
mail 300 IN CNAME notesetc.net
** I do not have any PTR records (should I?) **
Should I change my domain pointers to look to ns1.layeredtech.com?
