NAGIOS - Passive Checking - need some help.

Hello everybody, This question is regarding to passive checks on nagios.

I have setup nagios well, working with snmp and nrpe (as I was looking which was better), it does active checking flawlessly, windows and linux, now, I want to switch to passive checking, but the documentation is really poor on the subject.

I have managed to install the nsca daemon on the nagios server, and the nsca client on one of the host that is being monitored.

The client host, has the nagios plugins compiled and working (as nrpe works and the active checks for processes is working great).

have any one of you a clue of how to do passive checking?

I have about 2 weeks trying, no luck.
