Weird problem: No Memory object in Perfmon on XP

I have a strange issue that I wanted to put out there - I have a Win XP SP2 box that I am testing software on, and I am trying to use performance monitor to log the amount of free memory over time. Easy sure, but the problem is that on this particular machine there seems to be NO Memory object in Perfmon for me to add counters against. Check out the screenshot attachment. As you can see it is missing in the [alphabetical] list, check out your own system. I have another XP SP2 system right behind me where the Memory object is present as is should be.

This is the first time I've ran across this issue of a disappearing counter object so it's hard to imagine what could have happened to that one object. Has anyone else ever seen this or have suggestions for restoring it?

System Specs:
AMD Athlon 2800+ (Barton)
Gigabyte 7NF-RZ Mobo
1GB 3200 Mem
80GB Hard Drive
ATI Radeon 9200 128MB

Thanks in advance!

P.S. Sorry for the misspelling in title, typing in a hurry...
