On my reseller account customers would often complain that they get a "cannot find server" error even though I could see their website was working. In fact these customers could not see ANY website on my reseller account. Sometimes this would also happen to me, customers could see websites on my reseller account but not me. In all cases the problem would pass after several days. In all cases the web hosting company would say that all was working fine. Also, in all cases, the customer would be able to view the websites if I told them to use a proxy.
Recently I have noticed that when this happens, it is possible to view websites on the reseller account which have a dedicated IP address.

Recently I bought a dedicated server and same again! A second IP was assigned and I hosted a site under it. But I cannot see the site at home, at work, or at my mates house. Yet my friends on MSN (all of whom are abroad) can see it, and I can only view it through a proxy. The server company say that all is working fine.
Well I look forward to hearing what anyone can suggest on this mystery!
