Ok new question, I have a server, that has 2 scsi hot swap hard drives, the backup drive (thank god) went bad somehow, now, I want to replace the backup drive, but I ALSO want to replace the main drive, since I got them both at the same time, and the main one could fail any day now. I am running cpanel. What would be the best way to change out both hard drives? Is there a way to 'mimic' everything that is on the main harddrive, to a new hard drive, then replace it. Or do I have to insert first the new backup drive, backup using cpanel all user dirs to the backup drive, then replace the main drive, and restore everyone from the backup drive?
Oh, and also, are all hotswap scsi hard drives the same interface on the back of the drive? I dont want to order a drive and have it not fit ;(
