How to upgrade to MYsql 5 on linux got it here

I run a linux server and downloaded mysql 5.xx for linux amd intel.

But I don't know how or whre to transfer it to my server, which directory?
Then, which command to enter to kickoff the installation. Any help?

Yes, i backedup 4.1 in cpanel.
