Mail storage
Hi all,We have a domain name where which has two MX records - the higher priority one coming in to our network and going to our MS Exchange server and the lower priority one goes to our ISP (who is C&W who also manage this domain name) who store mail for us in the event of our network being unavailable.
When our connectivity is restored, the mail is then delivered to us.
What is the name given to this and is it easy to implement?
We now have a new domain name, not with our ISP and so they say they cannot handle mail for this domain (i.e., if we configure a lower priority MX record, there systems ignore the mail for our new domain).
We have a dedicated server with Pipex. This is a Win 2003 Std Server running all of our company web sites and handling mail forwarding for many domains.
What would I need to do to configure this to store mail for later delivery to our Exchange server.
Am I making any sense??!!??!!
Any help would be very greatfully received.
Many Thanks,
