Plz Help! Error installing IPB

Im trying to install an IPB forum.
I am on a VPS with plenty of memory, ram etc.
Invision is taking time responding to ticket, therefore I am posting here.


error:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 130 bytes) in /home/*****/public_html/ips_kernel/class_xml.php on line 655
