ECC vs non ECC ram
i was wondering how much of a difference ECC ram really makes a difference in error checking for servers, i mean, if normal ram was in some way defective, wouldn't everyone just be using ECC ram with parity?
does anyone know of any specific cases where having ECC ram would have saved the day?
