VPS Broadcast Domain Size
What is the recommended broadcast domain size for host addresses in a VPS environment for Ethernet? The 802.3 standard recommends no more than 1024 hosts in the same broadcast domain. I believe this depends entirely on the type of hosts in that domain. Windows and Novell servers have much more chatty protcols in general than say an Unix or Linux environment. But Ethernet by nature is a broadcast medium and ARP requests can also becoming quite excessive. Any recommendations based on standards or experience is greatly appreciated.
