Fed up with Cpanel's formmail scripts - need permanent alternative!
as the topic states, I, like many others am simply fed up with all the spamming issues with the numerous formmail scripts that come with Cpanel.
They just patched it recently (around the 20th) and a new hole was found AGAIN and is being used by spammers.
I am sick and tired of this, so I have permanently disabled all the formmail scripts in /usr/local/cpanel/cgi-sys
My question is, does anyone know a REALLY secure version of FormMail which we can offer to our clients.
It should be relatively easy to configure and function just like Cpanel's formmails (in terms of script functionality, not holes) - I don't mind writing up a page explaining everything in detail for customer who wish to use it.
Also, on a similar note ... what would be the best way to search through all .HTM/.HTML/.PHP files under the /home directory looking for clients who use formmail scripts.
I've tried a few find functions, but they all included crap from webalizer logs etc etc.
And please no defending Cpanel's scripts or other uninformed suggestions. Let's keep this clean - hopefully many can benefit from this thread if I can get a few people 'in the know' to answer my questions.

PS. cgiemail/cgiecho files on Cpanel servers - are they part of all their FormMail nonsense, can they be disabled safely/how?
