Issues upgrading to 2.4.32 kernel
I am having issues upgrading my server to 2.4.32 kernel. The server has Sata drives, and doesnt get booted in the new kernel. The new kernel identifies the SATA drives as hda/hdb, whereas the old one identifies them as sda/sdb, and as such it is unable to locate partitions at boot and dies. Can someone help me to find where I went wrong.
Current kernel : 2.4.21-32.0.1.ELsmp
Linux: Red Hat Enterprise Linux
